Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The work of the Charity and Development Appeal is love in action. The 2012 appeal provides the opportunity for our One Family in Christ to take action and support the work of more than 70 agencies, organizations and ministries across the diocese. Jesus taught us that we are one family in his name. Out of love for him, we love one another, and we take care of those in need.
Because of you and your continued stewardship the CDA is able to carry out its vital mission. The CDA assists agencies like St. Joseph the Worker, that help disadvantaged people achieve long-term social and economic well–being through employment, and Maggie’s Place, that come to the aid of pregnant women who are alone or living on the
street. The CDA also provides education and training for deacons, seminarians, school children as well as adults and children in the faith
formation programs at our parishes.
Together we can take action to help those in need within our parish and beyond our parish boundaries. Together we can do more than we could ever do alone. As One Family in Christ we are significant to every individual’s life. May the Lord continue to pour out His most generous love and abundant blessings on you and all your loved ones.
